Police Looking For Gunmen Involved In Cleveland Shootout

A 20-year-old was killed in a shootout in Cleveland in late September, police said.

CLEVELAND — A 20-year-old has died after being shot in Cleveland, police announced.

On Sept. 23, there was a shootout near the Garden Valley Apartment complex on Carson Avenue. When police arrived, they found bullet casings in the area and bullet holes on multiple cars and on the apartment building.

Officers then learned that a 20-year-old had been taken to University Hospitals after he was hurt in the gunfire. He had been shot in the back, police said. After a day in the hospital, the 20-year-old was declared dead.

Police believe there were multiple shooters involved in that evening's shootout, but not arrests have yet been made.
