Here are the top stories in Cleveland today:

  1. The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority has been awarded a $3 million U.S. Department of Transportation grant to conduct a comprehensive planning study. This study will help address the port's cargo handling, its environmental and economic development needs, and broader regional planning goals. It was among 25 grants totaling more than $241 million that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced Thursday. (cleveland.com)
  2. After experiencing "mild cold-like symptoms," Cleveland Browns center JC Tretter has tested positive for COVID-19. Tretter stated that he has been boosted and vaccinated, and will be taking his meetings virtually as he recovers. The NFL announced updated COVID-19 protocols last week., including targeted testing for players and staff. (News 5 Cleveland)
  3. Two separate salad products have been recalled in Ohio and other states due to Listeria concerns. Salads made by Dole and Fresh Express have led to a combined 22 hospitalizations, including that of two Ohio residents, as well as one death. Anyone in high-risk categories who experiences flu-like symptoms after eating possibly contaminated food should seek medical care. (Cleveland Patch)
