1. While the global shipping crisis has caused headaches for many, crews at the Port of Cleveland don't fear any impact. With larger ports struggling to offload their cargo, it presents an opportunity for Cleveland and other local ports to take on some of the burden. 2. A former Cleveland VA Medical Center supervisor was sentenced to 37 months in prison and ordered to pay $1.2 million in restitution this week. 54-year-old William H. Precht of Kent previously pleaded guilty to theft of government property and participating in a bribery and kickback scheme. He was sentenced on Thursday by Judge Donald Nugent of the U.S. District Court. (Cleveland Patch)
