- President Joe Biden visited Cleveland on Thursday to discuss his $1 trillion infrastructure bill. Part of that bill includes a $1 billion investment in restoring and cleaning the Great Lakes. Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb greeted the President after he touched down in Cleveland at 11:00 AM and discussed Ohio's structurally deficient bridges. (Cleveland Patch)
- A recall for cans of Skyline Chili was issued on Thursday by the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service. According to officials, the cans of chili did not disclose possible allergens such as milk, wheat, and soy. The recalled items are 10.5-ounce cans of "Skyline Chili Original Chili," with lot code L2121, product code CHC8T UPY, and a best-by date of Dec. 21, 2023. (cleveland.com)
- Cleveland's FirstEnergy is looking to settle lawsuits against the company related to the House Bill 6 scandal. The energy company has set aside $37.5 million to pay for damages. On Wednesday, the company announced to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission that they will likely suffer "a loss in connection with the resolution of these lawsuits."
