CLEVELAND — Armond Johnson has been charged with murdering four people in Slavic Village on Tuesday, including his 6-year-old son, Cleveland police announced on Thursday.

"Less than 48 hours ago, we were standing on this very street talking about a tragedy in our city. Although this doesn't change that, this doesn't make it any better, we are here to report we have a bit of a resolution to that with the arrest," Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said during a press conference on Thursday afternoon. Williams was joined by Mayor Frank Jackson during the announcement.

The tragedy referred to by Williams was the discovery of four bodies on E. 63rd street on Tuesday morning. The four killed persons have been identified as David Cousin Jr., 35, Takeyra Collins, 25, Armond Johnson Jr., 6, and Aubree Stone, 2. Johnson is the father of Johnson Jr., but his relationship to the other three people is unclear at this time.
