Quicken Loans Arena To Be Renamed
The home of the Cleveland Cavaliers will be rechristened. The arena will become the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

CLEVELAND — Quicken Loans Arena will be renamed and will become the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted a press conference. During that event, the team announced the renaming of the arena. Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish and other officials took part in the announcement.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have a lease on the arena through 2034.

The Associated Press were the first to report on the name change for the arena. For nearly 15 years, the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been known as Quicken Loans Arena. Before that, the facility was called the Gund Arena.
For several months, Quicken Loans has been undergoing an overhaul in advance of the team hosting the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. In 2016, the arena hosted the Republican National Convention.
