CLEVELAND — Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers will open its newest Northeast Ohio restaurant in Brooklyn on Tuesday. During the grand opening, a drawing will be held giving away free meals for a year.

The new Raising Cane's location will be at 5180 Tiedeman Road. Grand opening festivities will start at 8 a.m., with entries for the "Lucky 20" drawing (which gives away free meals for a year). The drawing will be held between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., but guests must be present to win.

Cleveland-legend John A. Adams, the drummer who leads rallies for the Indians, will be in attendance on Tuesday. He will draw the Lucky 20 winners. Additionally, Emmet Golden and Jerod Cherry, co-hosts of ESPN's The Next Level on ESPN Cleveland will host a live radio show from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the restaurant.

“We love Cleveland and couldn’t be more thrilled to continue our expansion in the area and introduce Raising Cane’s to Brooklyn,” said Eric Ongaro, rresident of Raising Cane’s Ohio. “The new restaurant features Raising Cane’s new updated design, which will create an enhanced experience for our guests. Plus, we’ve hired an incredible crew to join us in serving our ONE LOVE to everyone in the area. We are looking forward to getting even more involved with local schools and organizations and can’t wait to become an integral part of the community.”

The Brooklyn Cane's boasts a staff of 80 employees. Crew members frequently chant during the day, so customers shouldn't be shocked when cashiers and cooks break out in song or cheers.

The employees have already started to get involved in their community. General Manager Julia Sandor and her staff volunteered at the Northeast Ohio SPCA.

“In addition to making donations to the organization, we had a lot of fun helping walk the adorable dogs and clean out cages,” Sandor said. “Northeast Ohio SPCA does an amazing job at saving the lives of pets in our community. This no-kill nonprofit will also be the benefactor of our 2019 Holiday Plush Puppy fundraiser.”

Brooklyn’s first Raising Cane’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight. Raising Cane's has locations in Strongsville and Lakewood, with additional locations planned for Northeast Ohio. There are 34 Raising Cane's restaurants in Ohio.
