Here are the top three stories today in Cleveland:
- A man has been convicted in the hit and run incident that resulted in an injured child. 39-year-old Milton Rullan struck a 9-year-old boy with his SUV on Sheraton Drive on Aug. 24, 2021. Rullan dumped his SUV at Ries Ice Rink and turned himself into the authorities. The injured boy did not suffer life-threatening injuries. (Cleveland 19 News)
- A car drove over two snowbanks and proceeded to fall off a Cleveland bridge. The incident occurred on Monday night according to Cleveland Police. According to reports, a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on I-90 when the 18-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and drove over two snowbanks to fall off the bridge. The vehicle stopped once it hit the corner of West 98th and Marginal. The driver's condition is currently unknown. (Cleveland Patch)
- Cleveland has seen snow on the ground for 23 straight days. The most recent record holder for this streak was in 2015 when snow was on the ground for 49 straight consecutive days. The all-time longest streak according to weather data was in 1978 when snow remained on the ground for 65 straight days from Jan. 9 through Mar. 14. (cleveland.com)
