  1. According to filing records, Cleveland City Councilman Brian Mooney will be running for Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge appointment. The Councilman who represents Ward 11 will be seeking a six-year judgeship that would begin next January. The City Council would choose a temporary replacement to fill Mooney's seat if he won the appointment. (cleveland.com)
  2. A retired Cleveland Police offer has been fined $50,000 for underreporting taxes on a private security company. The company handles security for major events hiring off-duty Cleveland Police Department officers. Retired Officer Harry Grant has been sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $294,627 to the IRS in fines and owed taxes. (cleveland.com)
  3. According to authorities, the unidentified man found inside a sewer on the East side earlier in the week died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District found the body while performing a routine inspection. Cleveland Police have not made any arrests but are asking the community to come forward with any information. (Cleveland 19 News)
