Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Announces 2020 Nominees
The class of possible inductees includes Pat Benatar, Depeche Mode, Dave Matthews Band, Thin Lizzy, Whitney Houston and more.

CLEVELAND — The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Tuesday announced the candidates for induction as part of the class of 2020. Fans will be given the chance to vote on which acts should find their way into the iconic museum.
To be eligible for induction, an artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years earlier. This year, nine of the 16 nominees are appearing on the ballot for the first time, including Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Motörhead, The Notorious B.I.G., Pat Benatar, Soundgarden, T.Rex, Thin Lizzy and Whitney Houston.
The inductees are determined by a voting body of 1,000 musicians, historians and music industry professionals. Fans can also vote online for their favorite acts. The top five recipients will be included on a "fan ballot" that will be tallied with the 1,000 other votes.
