Serial Bank Robbing Crew Hits Lyndhurst Bank

The FBI says the suspects may be connected to nine other robberies that occurred in February 2017.

LYNDHURST, OH - This year has been rife with bank robberies and now a crew that may be connected to nine of those incidents has pulled off another crime. This time their target was the Fifth Third Bank on Cedar Road in Lyndhurst.

Three suspects walked into the bank and gave a demand note to a teller on Monday. The teller complied with their demands and the crew fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. They drove off in a vehicle that was described as a black Nissan Versa. Additional details from the robbery have not been made available.

Earlier on Monday a black Nissan Versa rental car with Michigan license tags was carjacked by three armed men in Euclid. The FBI says they believe the same vehicle was used during the Lyndhurst robbery.
