Security Guard Scares Armed Cleveland Bank Robbers

The security guard returned to the bank after a break and interrupted an armed robbery, sending the suspects running.

CLEVELAND, OH - Four unidentified men attempted to rob PNC Bank, 7101 Broadway, Cleveland, on April 14. The men were scared off when a bank security guard returned from break during the robbery attempt.

The men entered the bank armed with handguns, the FBI says. The men ordered the customers and employees to the ground while waving two handguns. One of the suspects jumped onto the bank counter, while another suspect pulled employees from their offices.

A bank security guard returned to the robbery attempt, scaring the suspects and sending them fleeing from the bank. The FBI says the group's getaway vehicle was a stolen blue jeep.

The four individuals are suspects of robbing other banks. They are all believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, thin builds, and standing between 5'7 and 5'9.

Law enforcement conducted a neighborhood canvass after the the robbery and discovered video surveillance of the four individuals maneuvering through yards without their face masks on.

Tips can be provided to the Cleveland FBI, the Cleveland Police Department or to Crimestoppers. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the individuals responsible. Tips can remain anonymous.PNC is offering an additional reward of up to $10,000 for information. PNC is politely adamant about not showing customers/employees faces, please.
