Senator Bernie Sanders Visiting Cleveland In May

The Vermont senator will speak at the City Club on May 1.

CLEVELAND, OH - Senator Bernie Sanders will be speaking at Cleveland's City Club on May 1. Tickets for the event are currently on-sale for City Club members and will cost $20. Nonmembers pay $35 for the event.

Sanders became a national household name during the 2016 Democratic Primaries when he challenged front-runner Senator Hillary Clinton for the party's nomination. Running as a Democratic Socialist, Sanders' main platforms were ridding Washington D.C. of Wall Street influence, single-payer healthcare, and reducing income equality, among other policies.

Sanders also used grassroots support to fund much of his campaign. The average donation to his campaign was $27.16.
