Shooting Outside Cleveland Bar Kills 28-Year-Old Man

Police said a 28-year-old man was killed after a fight broke out outside of a bar.

CLEVELAND — A 28-year-old man was shot to death in Cleveland on Saturday night, police announced.

At 9:15 p.m., police were patrolling near Gooding and Parkview when gunshots rang out. While driving to investigate, officers were told a man had been shot on E. 116th and Superior.

Officers found a 28-year-old man in that area with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body. EMS arrived soon after police and pronounced the man dead.

Investigators believe the 28-year-old was involved in a fight outside of a bar with a group of men. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the 28-year-old repeatedly, police said.

The suspected shooter tried to drive away from the bar but crashed into another vehicle. Police said the shooter then ran off on foot.

Police said the suspected shooter is a 30-year-old man. Detectives are still investigating the shooting.
