Skydiver Rescued From Atop Parking Garage In Cleveland

Police said a man was caught on a parking garage, dangling 40 feet in the air, entangled in a parachute

CLEVELAND — A 35-year-old man was found dangling from a Cleveland parking garage while entangled in a parachute on Sunday morning.

The 35-year-old told police he had been skydiving with friends but drifted off course. He ended up stuck on a parking garage on E. 12th Street and Chester Ave., hanging approximately 40 feet in the air, police said.

Cleveland firefighters rescued the man and brought him safely to the ground. The 35-year-old was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where it was determined he broke an ankle while landing.

Police said they're investigating if the man actually jumped from a plane.
