Snowfall Returning To Northeast Ohio This Week

Temperatures will drop and snowfall will return this week.

CLEVELAND — Snow is set to hit Northeast Ohio on Wednesday night, according to current forecasts. Up to 3 inches of snow could fall throughout Wednesday evening, with additional snowfall coming Thursday and Friday.

Precipitation will start as a mix of rain and snow on Wednesday afternoon, before transitioning to snow on Wednesday evening, according to National Weather Service forecasts. Snowfall will continue throughout the night and into Thursday morning, so drivers will want to build extra time into their commutes.

Little to no snow is expected to accumulate during the day on Thursday, but the evening will again bring 1 to 2 inches to Northeast Ohio. Snowfall should begin to taper off on Friday, but there is a 60 percent chance of scattered snow showers after 1 p.m., the National Weather Service said.
