CLEVELAND, OH — Police are looking for two men that stole a car from a 17-year-old St. Ignatius student last week. The teenager was pulled out of his mother's Kia Sportage on Feb. 22.
The 17-year-old was parked at the St. Ignatius lot on W. 30th and Lorain. He was sitting in the car after lacrosse tryouts, according to police reports. He was sending an email on his phone when two men approached his car. They stood next to the driver's door and ordered him to get out and give them his cell phone.
Before the teenager could respond, one of the men opened the door and ripped the boy out. They grabbed his cell phone and then got into the Kia and drove off.
