Suspect Breaks Into Cleveland Church Multiple Times
Police are asking the public for help finding a man that repeatedly broke into and ransacked a church's daycare and preschool facilities.
CLEVELAND — Numerous break-ins and thefts have happened at St. Aloysius' daycare and preschool in Cleveland over the past month, police said. Investigators are hoping the public can identify a suspect captured on the church's surveillance footage.
The first break-in happened September 8 at St. Aloysius. A preschool teacher discovered her classroom had been ransacked and a power drill was stolen. Someone pried off a window screen to get into the building.
The thief then went into the kitchen and stole several tools, police records said. The cupboards near the kitchen sink had been rifled through and paper towels and other paper goods were also taken.

The thief put the window screen back in place after looting the church.
Less than a week later, on September 14, an alarm was tripped at St. Aloysius' E. 109th Street property. A priest met with police and said he believed four break-ins had happened at the daycare over a one week span. The building was again ransacked, though it's unclear if anything was missing. The thief got into the building by again damaging a window.
