Teen Shot, Killed On Cleveland's West Side
Police said a 13-year-old boy was found shot to death on Monday night.

CLEVELAND — A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed on Cleveland's west side on Monday night, police announced.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office identified the teenager as Ja'Mari Jones, 13, from Cleveland. He was found in a car on W. 25th Street, near Franklin Avenue, on Monday night, according to law enforcement.
Jones had been shot in the head. He was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police detained two people who were in the car with Jones, a department spokesperson said. One of the detained persons had a gun, police said.
Investigators believe Jones and the two detained people were on Loop Drive and were engaged in drug activity. The trio met up with another group of men and were then robbed. When the trio tried to drive away, shots were fired and Jones was hit.

The trio then drove to a restaurant on W. 25th and asked a diner to call 911.
No arrests have yet been made in connection to the boy's killing, Fox 8 noted.
