Temps Could Touch 90 Degrees In Northeast Ohio: Forecast

A stifling heat wave will grip Northeast Ohio much of this week, according to current forecasts.

CLEVELAND — Temperatures could touch 90 degrees this week as a heat wave grips Northeast Ohio. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s are possible on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to current forecasts.

Tuesday's high could reach 89 or 90 degrees in Northeast Ohio, the National Weather Service predicted. Wednesday's high will scrape similar heights, with a projected high of 87 degrees.

There won't be much of a breeze on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Wind gusts will blow through the region at about 5 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms could cool the region off on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Temperatures will drop into the low 80s and high 70s by the end of the week, with showers expected on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures should continue to fall heading into the weekend, with projected highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 40s.
