Thieves Hit Man With Car, Leave Him In Street To Die In Cleveland

A Cleveland man was found in the street on E. 52nd. He had been hit by a car, the suspects driving off.

CLEVELAND, OH — Late on Sunday night, Cleveland Police were called to the city's east side for reports of a man hit by a car. Officers found the victim in the street on E. 52nd. Despite being rushed to MetroHealth, the man died from his injuries.

Witnesses told police they saw two men running away from the victim's house. The victim was then seen jumping into a truck, potentially looking to either follow or escape from the suspects, but he hit a parked car while attempting to leave.

The victim then got out of his truck to examine the damage. That's when the suspects hit him with a car. After the collision, one of the suspects got out of their car, into the man's truck and both vehicles were driven away. They left the man in the street.

Police are still investigating the incident. They saw the victim was driving a 2008 Silver Ford Escape with the license plate GIS2721.
