Thunderstorms To Hit Northeast Ohio
The National Weather Service warns that rain showers could drench the region this weekend.
CLEVELAND — Thunderstorms will likely hit Northeast Ohio on Thursday evening and Friday morning, the National Weather Service said. Heavy rainfall and powerful winds could create damaging conditions in the region.
"Thunderstorms that develop this afternoon and evening may be strong with gusty winds. The thunderstorms could also produce locally heavy rainfall," the National Weather Service said.
Thunderstorms should form before 4 p.m. on Thursday before tapering off briefly and then returning overnight. Showers and thunderstorms will continue until Friday afternoon, according to current forecast.

The National Weather Service's hazardous weather outlook applies to Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Huron, Medina, Summit, Portage, Trumbull, Erie and Crawford counties.
Despite the storms, temperatures should continue to rise. Thursday and Friday will have highs in the low 70s, Saturday will have a high in the mid-60s and Sunday will have a high in the low 70s. Sporadic showers should continue throughout the weekend.
