Thunderstorms To Hit Northeast Ohio On Friday
A run of hot and humid days will end with a burst of rain showers and thunderstorms, the National Weather Service warned.
CLEVELAND — Thunderstorms are expected to hit Northeast Ohio on Friday, the National Weather Service announced. The storms will cause a drop in temperatures, with a low of 55 projected for overnight.
"A few severe storms with quarter-size hail and damaging wind gusts are possible. Torrential rainfall may lead to localized flash flooding," the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook.
After a run of hot and humid days, temperatures will break when thunderstorms and rainshowers hit Northeast Ohio on Friday afternoon and evening. Storms should subside overnight or on early Saturday.

Wind gusts could hit 25 mph during storms and a half an inch of rain could fall in some areas. Regions hit by thunderstorms could see even higher rainfall amounts, the National Weather Service warned.
The hazardous weather outlook was issued for much of Northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga, Lorain and Summit counties, among others.
