Thunderstorms, Humidity To Mark Weekend In Northeast Ohio
Periodic storms are expected throughout the end of the week as temperatures ascend into the 90s.
CLEVELAND — Thunderstorms could form across Northeast Ohio this week. Forecasts suggest the weekend will be humid and hot, with sporadic rain.
"Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area early this afternoon and may continue into the early evening hours. Some of the storms may become severe with damaging winds the primary threat, although large hail cannot be ruled out," the National Weather Service warned in a a hazardous weather statement.
Temperatures will begin a steady ascent into the 90s on Thursday. By Sunday, Northeast Ohio will be dealing with muggy, humid conditions.

There's currently a 40-percent chance of thunderstorms in the Cleveland area on Thursday. Rain could occasionally drench the region on Friday and Saturday, according to forecasts. Expect brief showers as the area warms rapidly.
