Storms Possible After Tornadoes Hit Ohio, Destruction In Dayton
The National Weather Service is warning Ohioans that severe thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday. Thousands are without power already.
Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday in Ohio, leaving Buckeye State residents little time to recover after tornadoes tore through part of the state on Memorial Day.
"There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. The main threats will be large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds. The slight risk is mainly away from the lakeshore," the National Weather Service said in its hazardous weather outlook on Tuesday morning.
Storms could be particularly bad for regions for the southern portion of Northern Ohio. Hail, heavy rain and possible flooding could hit on Wednesday and Thursday. The National Weather Service said there is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms forming during the day on Tuesday and a 40 percent chance of the storms forming between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
