CLEVELAND — Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer threw seven hitless innings before being pulled on Thursday night. The Tribe banked on their bullpen finishing the no-no against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bauer continued a magnificent start to his 2019 season, notching eight strikeouts while giving up exactly no hits through seven innings against Toronto. Even though Bauer was working on a no-hitter, Tribe manager Terry Francona made the decision to yank his starter. Some fans at Progressive Field booed Francona's decision.

The move ultimately cost the Indians the no-hitter and the shutout. Reliever Brad Hand coughed up three hits in the top of the ninth, one of which led to a run.
