Two Men Shot During Attempted Robbery In Cleveland

The men shared a car with their alleged attacker. They had to jump out of a moving vehicle to avoid being hurt worse, they told police.

CLEVELAND, OH — Two men were shot during an alleged attempted robbery on Wednesday, according to Cleveland Police records. Now law enforcement officials are asking the public for help finding the accused shooter.

The two victims said they got a ride to Pennsylvania, to a car auction, with Denzel Pillers, the owner of a local car lot. The duo said they didn't find a car they liked, so they decided to return to home.

Except, somewhere near the E. 72 St. overpass, Pillers allegedly pulled a gun out and demanded the men's money. When the men refused, he started shooting. One man was shot once in the left abdomen area, while the other was shot twice, once in the abdomen area and once in the lower back.
