UH opens new infusion center in Warrensville Hts.

Center has private suites, other amenities; provides relaxing, homelike environment for patients; for treating several medical conditions.

University Hospitals has opened the new Specialty Care Clinic Infusion Center, a state-of-the-art facility providing infusion services to treat a number of conditions, including gastrointestinal, neurological, skin, joint and immune disorders.

“The comfortable setting and numerous amenities at this infusion center enable patients to receive their infusion care in a relaxing, homelike environment,” said Kristian Wall, MD, site director and gastroenterologist at UH. “We will be able to treat several conditions in this center which we hope will enhance the patient’s experience.”

The UH Specialty Care Clinic at Highland Park is located at 24865 Emery Rd. in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center officially opened Nov. 9.

The new center has several features and benefits, including five private rooms and a group suite with five infusion chairs. The center has a variety of comfort measures to make patients feel at home during their treatments. These amenities include: Cable TV; Wi-Fi; reclining infusion chairs with heat and massage; a kitchen area with complimentary refreshments, and heated blankets. The center also has complimentary parking with reserved spots for infusion patients and ramp access at the main entrance.

•Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease)

•Asthma

•Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP)

•Immune deficiency

•Inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)

•Lupus

•Migraines

•Multiple sclerosis

•Osteoporosis

•Psoriasis

•Psoriatic/rheumatoid arthritis

Onboarding services also are available to help make the process as easy as possible for patients. These include insurance prior authorization and payment assistance. The infusion center can help patients apply for ways to cover the cost of their medication, such as co-pay assistance, foundation assistance or free drug programs through the manufacturer. Assistance programs may vary based on insurance type and other qualifications.
