Unidentified Man Found Shot To Death Behind Cleveland Home

Police said an unidentified man was found dead behind a home on Cleveland's west side.

CLEVELAND — Police are trying to identify a man shot and killed in Cleveland on Thursday night.

Callers reporting hearing gunshots at 11 p.m. in the area of W. 48th and Bridge Avenue. Officers searched the area and found a man behind a house on W. 47th Street. The man had been shot in the thigh and was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

Investigators believe the man was riding in a car down W. 47th. During the ride, he got into an argument with someone else in the vehicle who then shot him. The man escaped the car and ended up behind the house on W. 47th, where he died.

Police said they do not have a description of the car or the suspect at this time. Members of the Cleveland police homicide unit are investigating the killing.
