According, to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, red foxes are at their most active during early winter months. Since 2017, there has been an uptick in fox sightings in urban areas, like Strongsville.

Foxes don't pose the same danger to pets that coyotes do. Red foxes primarily eat rodents, birds, fruits and some grasses, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said. If the animals set up camp in or near a backyard, residents should try to enjoy the spectacle of watching foxes roam and hunt.
