Weatherhead School of Management Hosts Cleveland’s Premier AI Symposium

The Symposium Explores the Future of Business, Technology, and Work

The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University will host The Frontier of AI, its Annual Symposium on Digital Innovation, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Tinkham Veale Ballroom. The full-day symposium will convene corporate leaders, technologists, and academic experts to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping business strategy, the workforce, and society.

Designed for executives and professionals navigating rapid technological change, the symposium will feature keynote presentations, expert panels, faculty flash talks, and an innovation showcase highlighting applied AI research and real-world use cases. Attendees will gain strategic insights into how organizations can responsibly and effectively leverage AI while addressing its broader economic and human implications.

Keynote speakers include Fay Cobb Payton, who will present AI Data Lifecycles: The What and The Why, and Morgan Frank, who will explore The Value of Higher Education in the Age of AI. Together, their perspectives underscore the symposium’s focus on both the technical foundations of AI and its long-term impact on leadership, learning, and organizational decision-making.

In addition to keynote sessions, the event will feature engaging panel discussions and faculty flash talks showcasing cutting-edge research and practical applications of AI across industries. An innovation showcase will offer attendees the opportunity to explore AI project posters during networking breaks, fostering dialogue between business leaders, researchers, and technologists.

The symposium is intended for corporate professionals working in AI, digital strategy, innovation, and transformation, including senior leaders, product managers, data scientists, and business strategists.
