Weed Growing Operation Found After Fire In Cleveland

A fire in a west side house led to the discovery of an inactive grow operation in one of the rooms.

CLEVELAND, OH — A suspected inactive marijuana grow operation was found in a house on the city's west side, Cleveland Police said on Friday morning. The lab was discovered after a fire broke out at the home. It appears the fire was unrelated to the marijuana operation.

The fire appears to have started in a bedroom in the house. The inactive grow operation was in another bedroom, a Cleveland Police spokesperson said in an email.

Evidence was collected from the scene and police are continuing to investigate the suspected marijuana operation. The house being investigated is in the 3500 block of W. 128th street.
