Will It Be A White Christmas In Cleveland? Forecast

Temperatures will hit 50 degrees before the work week ends, but will snow return before the holiday?

With temperatures climbing into the 50s during the work week, and rain washing away the remnants of snow in the region, many Northeast Ohioans are wondering if there will be a white Christmas. Current forecasts show...there's a chance.

Temperatures should plunge on late Friday night and early Saturday morning. As things get colder, there's a chance of snow showers, with half an inch of accumulation possible. The National Weather Service said there's a 60 percent chance of snow during that time.

The cold stretch will continue through the weekend, with highs in the mid-30s expected on Saturday and Sunday. Both days have a 30 percent chance of snow, though little accumulation is likely.

Luckily, Christmas Day has a 30 percent chance of snow. Dec. 25 should be mostly cloudy, with a high in mid- to upper-30s.

For Northeast Ohioans hoping for a sheet of white to greet them on Christmas morning, the idyllic, picturesque holiday may be the first gift to be opened on Dec. 25.
