Winterfest To Kick-Off Holidays In Cleveland

On Nov. 27, all of Cleveland will celebrate the start of the holiday season.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland's annual Winterfest will kick-off the holiday season on Nov. 27.

The event serves as the city's official start to the festive season and will feature citywide celebrations and activities. This year's Winterfest will feature a holiday tree lighting in Public Square, a visit from Santa Claus, fireworks and more.

Activities starting at noon:

  • Carriage rides and concessions — Located in US Bank Plaza in Playhouse Square, though advance ticket reservations are required.
  • Games — In the Slick Woody's Family Fun Zone in US Bank Plaza
  • Ice skating — Cleveland Public Square
  • Food trucks — Cleveland Public Square
  • Photos with Santa — RTA Holly Jolly Trolley
  • Mr. Jingeling Meet and Greets — Halle Building presented by The K&D Group
  • Take-n-Make Crafts, ice sculpting and more — Cleveland Public Library

Activities starting at 3 p.m.

  • Living history holiday edition, apartment tours

Activities starting at 4 p.m.

  • Fire pits and s'mores kits, presented by JACK Entertainment
  • Winter warm up activities with ASCEND Fitness and Spa
  • Carillon Concerts — Old Stone Church
  • Appearances by Mr. Kringle, the Toy Soldier and more
  • CAVS All for Fun Tour Trailer

Activities starting at 7 p.m.

  • Winterfest dance party with DJ Shake
  • Holiday tree lighting ceremony in Public Square — To be broadcast on WKYC and featuring Case in Point, Cleveland Ballet, Karamu House, Santa Claus, special guests and fireworks.
