Woman Injured During Drive-By, Car Chase In Cleveland

On Sunday morning, police chased a car across the city until it crashed on W. 45th Street.

CLEVELAND — A 21-year-old woman was wounded during a drive-by shooting and car chase in Cleveland on early Sunday morning. Police said one person is in custody after the incident.

At 1 a.m., near E. 13th Street and St. Clair Avenue, gunshots were fired from a car. The 21-year-old was wounded, suffering serious leg injuries, according to police. She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS.

An off-duty police officer was nearby and police pursued the car to W. 25th and Detroit.
