Woman Killed In Her Apartment In Cleveland

CLEVELAND — A 33-year-old woman was shot to death in Cleveland on Wednesday, police announced.

At 5:20 a.m., officers were called to E. 140th Street. When police arrived, the woman's apartment door was kicked in.

Officers found the woman inside the apartment. She had been shot in the head and body. EMS declared her dead in the apartment, police said.

Investigators believe the woman was in a fight with another woman earlier in the night. That may have prompted the violence.

The Cleveland police homicide unit is taking part in the investigation into the killing. No arrests have yet been made.
