World Series Game 7: The Most Expensive Ticket in Baseball History
The 2016 World Series was already the most expensive in history. Now it's decisive game will cost fans an arm, a leg, and a second mortgage.

CLEVELAND, OH - Want to watch the final moments of the 2016 World Series in person? Be prepared to empty your kid's college account house because prices for Game 7 are higher than any other game in baseball history.
During Game 6, the average ticket price for the next game was $4,700 according to ticketIQ. The price has since dropped to $3,624. One fan selling their ticket for the game is asking for $20,503. The cheapest seat is about $1,000.
Rival ticket sales company VividSeats puts the average ticket price for Game 7 closer to $2,200. Both numbers would still place Game 7's average ticket as the most expensive in baseball history. Fans are asking about $900 for standing roomy only seats, the cheapest option available to fans. Meanwhile, one fan is asking for $13,078 for their box seat.

Still, it has been cheaper to see a game at Progressive Field than Wrigley. The average ticket price in Cleveland, over four games, was $1,420. The average price in Chicago was $2,807. To give you an idea of how much of a jump in price that represents for the World Series, the average ticket price in the 2015 World Series was $756.
