Young Mother Run Over, Killed In Cleveland Carjacking
Police said she and her family were at a local church when someone tried to steal their car. The mother tried to intervene and was killed.

CLEVELAND — A 33-year-old mother was killed Thursday when she tried to stop someone from stealing her car. In the struggle, the woman was run over by her own vehicle and killed, Cleveland police said.
The woman, her husband, and their two children, were at a church on Archwood Avenue, helping paint the interior, when they saw someone trying to get into their car. The mother and father went outside to stop the suspect.
During the struggle, the 33-year-old was run over and killed. She was later pronounced dead on the scene. No one else was seriously injured.

The suspect fled the scene.
There have not been any arrests in this matter, police said. A suspect was detained on Thursday afternoon, but was found to not be involved. Investigators are still pursuing leads.
