• Former Coventry school slated for demolition to expand PEACE park in Cleveland Heights (cleveland.com) — Cleveland Heights' former Coventry school is expected to be demolished this fall so Heights Libraries can expand PEACE Park into more green space and amenities. Library officials are finalizing demolition bids, sharing survey results on desired features like restrooms and paths, and inviting residents to a Sept. 14 committee meeting to review early designs and feedback.
   

• Beaumont School gets Landmark Commission recommendation to demolish Painter Mansion (cleveland.com) — Cleveland Heights residents may soon see the deteriorating Painter Mansion at Beaumont School demolished after the city's Landmark Commission recommended allowing its removal, despite its historic status. The proposal, tied to plans for a regulation track, now heads to the Planning Commission with conditions to document, partially preserve, and seek funding before any teardown proceeds.
   

• 19 Troubleshooters get water flowing again for apartments that were without water since Sunday (cleveland19.com) — Residents at Severance Tower in Cleveland Heights endured roughly two days without running water after a nearby main break left all 190 apartments dry. Tenants resorted to hydrants and bucket baths until the Cleveland Water Department and CMHA resolved the 10-inch main issue Monday evening, restoring basic services to the high-rise near Severance Town Center.
