Crestview bus drivers hone skills at South Range event (morningjournalnews.com) — Crestview bus drivers gathered in Columbiana at South Range Schools for a hands-on Safety Day, practicing how to evacuate an overturned bus and sharpen inspection and driving skills. Transportation officials say routes now include regular trips to the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and other programs, even as fuel costs climb, underscoring how local districts are working to keep students safely moving.
2. Potters' Miller shines at night (morningjournalnews.com) — Columbiana High School's boys and girls cross country teams turned in solid performances at the Malone Night Invitational, with multiple Clippers placing in competitive Division V fields. East Liverpool and other Columbiana County schools also ran, and East Liverpool is set to compete in the Columbiana County Meet in East Palestine on Tuesday, giving local fans another chance to see area runners in action.

Sherrod Brown visits Mahoning Valley, addresses East Palestine and corporate power (wfmj.com) — Residents in Columbiana recently had a chance to hear former U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown outline his campaign priorities during a Mahoning Valley stop that also included Warren. Brown focused heavily on rail safety reforms tied to the East Palestine derailment and criticized corporate power and regulatory enforcement, framing his Senate bid around worker protections and holding large companies accountable.
