1. Register for the Minerva Park Community Yard Sale! (mympca.org) — Minerva Park's big community garage sale returns September 18–20, with residents encouraged to register by September 11 to be included on the official sale map. Shoppers can browse dozens of neighborhood sales, grab food from Tortilla Street Food Truck at the Minerva Park Municipal Building in Columbus, and even let kids run lemonade stands throughout the weekend.
   

2. Columbus Metropolitan Library to host job and resource fair Sept. 10 (abc6onyourside.com) — Jobseekers in Columbus can meet more than 60 employers at a free Job & Resource Fair on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Main Library downtown. City departments, Columbus City Schools, major hospitals, COTA, and more will be on-site, plus breakout sessions and free professional headshots offered on a first-come basis.
   

3. Two of Columbus's most celebrated gay bars sold to LGBTQ+ owners (nbc4i.com) — Two landmark LGBTQ+ spots in Columbus' Short North, Axis Nightclub and Union Cafe, are back under LGBTQ+ ownership after a quick sale to a group of local investors. New managing partner Michael Smithson says patrons can expect refreshed aesthetics, menu tweaks, more marketing, and renewed community engagement while keeping the bars' long-standing role as safe gathering spaces for central Ohio's queer community.
   

4. Columbus police seek driver after e-bike rider hit from behind on Courtright Road (abc6onyourside.com) — Columbus police are investigating after an e-bike rider was hit from behind near Courtright Road and East Deshler Avenue and later treated at OSU East. The victim, expected to survive, told officers an unknown vehicle struck them around 3:30 p.m., and the Accident Investigation Unit is now working to identify the driver.
   

5. Danielle Julian Norton: Working Differently (sculpturemagazine.art) — A Columbus-based artist, Danielle Julian Norton, is gaining national attention for sculptures and projects that challenge systems of power through quiet, care-centered resistance. Her practice is rooted in Columbus but conceptually tied to an ongoing land project in Southeast Ohio's Appalachian forest, blending DIY construction, community-building, and humor to imagine more hopeful futures.
