How ballet folklorico keeps Mexican culture alive in Ohio (mynews13.com) — A Columbus-based ballet folklorico group is helping local Mexican American families keep cultural traditions alive through dance, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month. Instructors describe how rehearsals and performances across Ohio give young people community, pride, and a powerful way to express their identity and family history while growing up in Columbus.

Columbus man sentenced in 2024 drive-by shooting where 2-year-old boy was injured (10tv.com) — A 23-year-old Columbus man has been sentenced to 25 to 30 years in prison for a 2024 drive-by shooting that injured a 2-year-old boy and an adult in southeast Columbus. Prosecutors say the gang-related attack targeted multiple people at a Carlton Avenue apartment complex, and the child still carries a bullet lodged near his jaw.
5. Columbus couple spends their wedding day in the hospital (10tv.com) — A Columbus couple spent their wedding day in a hospital after 25-year-old bride Anna Lasco suffered a life-threatening stroke caused by a vertebral artery dissection. She's now recovering with limited use of her left side while her husband Connor provides full-time care, and friends have launched a GoFundMe to help with mounting medical expenses.
