Union leaders say the proposal doesn't adequately guarantee pay or address vacancies, while hospital officials insist patient care and safe staffing will remain priorities as talks continue.
4. ODOT recommends new US 23-I-71 connector between northwest Ohio and Columbus (wtol.com) — A new ODOT study recommends building an 18-mile connector from U.S. 23 north of Waldo to I-71, giving northwest Ohio drivers a faster route into the Columbus area and potentially shaving up to 22 minutes off peak trips. The $857 million–$1.2 billion project could affect farmland and homes, may involve tolls, and still needs funding, environmental review, and General Assembly approval before any construction begins.

From Ring to the big screen, how a neighbor worked her way into a short film (nbc4i.com) — In a Columbus neighborhood, filmmaker Damon Mosley turned years of Ring doorbell visits from his energetic 6‑year‑old neighbor, Nyla Hopkins, into inspiration for his new short film.
