"Miss Rachel Saved My Life! She Kept Me Off the Streets."

You see it on TV. Assaults in broad daylight. Women attacked in parking lots, train stations or in their own cars. Suburban, high-end stores robbed by groups of young people dressed in hoodies and black pants.

What do people say? "The root cause is lack of good upbringing. No fathers around. No respect for others. No love and attention at home. No morals." Then people wring their hands, sigh - and go on with their lives. They feel helpless and don't know what to do.

But everyone at The Brian Muha Foundation knows what to do. We know we are fighting a war against these attacks on human life. We are loving, educating, counseling, guiding, praying for and enjoying the little children in the inner city by giving them a school, after-school activities, food, clothes, housing help and so much more. We are helping them grow up to live lives that are helpful, honest and law-abiding.

In the words of one of our older Racers to a volunteer of ours: "Miss Rachel saved my life! I love her. She kept me off the streets!” He said that he attended The Run The Race Center when it was an after- school program. He was so excited to tell me that Rachel and the volunteers are the reasons he completed his high school education. He said Rachel helped keep him away from gangs and the drug world of his neighborhood. He is now successfully employed by a popular carpet cleaning business here in Columbus.
