On Friday, May 3rd, close to 50 individuals from six Summit DD Adult Service centers teamed up with countless other community organizations and businesses for Green & Clean Day. Developed by the Downtown Akron Partnership, the Green & Clean initiative brings the community together to
work toward a single goal, making the city vibrant and valuable.
A Summit DD volunteer team, comprised of staff and persons served, was assigned several important tasks including, cleaning the streets near Canal Park, rejuvenating the Towpath trail that runs through the city and preparing Lock 3 park for summer events. It was hard work, but the city sure does shine!
