Bizarre Break-In Turns Violent in Cuyahoga Falls
Jacob S. Parker, 22, of Akron, was shot with a stun gun and arrested by Cuyahoga Falls Police after he broke into a man's house and fell asleep in his bed.
At 4 a.m. Thursday, Edward Grether awoke to a stranger breaking into his Cuyahoga Falls residence.
Grether ran into his front yard, called Cuyahoga Falls Police and reported a man had smashed into his home at 3132 Akron Peninsula Road, according to a police press release.
When officers arrived, they found Jacob S. Parker, 22, of Akron, asleep in Grether’s bed.

As officers attempted to remove Parker from the house, he woke up, turned violent and was subsequently tasered.
Officers then searched Parker’s car, which was parked in Grether’s driveway with the driver’s side door open.

Police found keys, a purse and cell phone, which belonged to Nicole Matthews: Parker’s girlfriend.
Cuyahoga Falls EMS and police rushed to Matthews’ Akron apartment to check her condition, and found the 21-year-old girl extremely intoxicated.
She eventually woke up, while being treated by EMS.
Parker was charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony as well as resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.
He was arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Stow Municipal Court.
According to the Stow Municipal Clerk of Court’s Office, the details of his arraignment are pending.
