B&K Root Beer Celebrating 60 Years in Cuyahoga Falls

Anniversary food specials and T-shirts will be available throughout the month of August.

B&K Root Beer will turn 60 in AugustΒ β€”Β a milestone no other eatery has achieved in Cuyahoga Falls.

Owner Vic Davis attributes the longevity and success to consistency.

"The food tastes exactly the same when it was first served in the 50s," said Davis. "I paid $25,000 for the recipes when I bought B&K 17 years ago. It was worth it."

Indeed, the homemade root beer and coney sauce remain a favorite among customers.

"The coney dogs are really good, that's probably my favorite item," said customer Dave Frankowski.

To celebrate the anniversary, Davis will run food and soft drink specials throughout August, and will be selling throwback T-shirts to mark the occasion.

Davis said he's still working on the details of the anniversary discounts, so stay tuned to Patch for more on the local celebration.
