Blotter: Residential Gunfire: Marijuana Minor; and $7,500 Jewelry Theft

On Sunday night, a 12th street resident was cited for firing a 9mm handgun on his property. According to a report, the foolish marksman said he was trying to kill an animal that had scurried into his backyard.
Marijuana and minors don’t mix
A 14-year-old boy was stopped by Falls police while walking along Prescott Circle on Sunday night. After searching him, officers found a bag of marijuana and a glass pipe. He was sent home to his parents and referred to a juvenile diversion program.

Cleaned out
After throwing a party at the 3400 block of Orchestra Street on Saturday night, a woman said someone entered her room and swiped several pieces of jewelry. Estimated loss: $7,500.

Stolen car stereo
A man’s Ford pickup truck was broken into early Sunday morning while parked off the 1300 block of Buckingham Gate Boulevard. The thief took stereo equipment, car accessories, loose money and apparel. Estimated loss: $465.
Criminal mischief
A woman reported an unknown number of troublemakers smashed eggs and splashed liquids on all four sides of her Archwood Place home on Saturday night. They even took the time to smash eggs in her air conditioning unit. The woman wishes to prosecute if the hooligans are caught.
