Boil Alert Issued by Cuyahoga Falls Water Superintendent

Due to complications during water main repairs, a section of the city will need to boil drinking water to avoid potential health risks.

A boil alert was issued Thursday for Meriline Street from Grant Avenue to Chestnut Boulevard.

The alert was issued after water dropped below pressure during pipe repairs, said Cuyahoga Falls Water Utilities Superintendent John Christopher.

In accordance with EPA regulations, residents in the affected area are asked to boil their water for at least three minutes, said Christopher.
