Hospital Welcomes New Director of Technology Services

Summa Western Reserve Hospital recently announced the appointment of Dan Evans as the hospital’s new Director of Technology Services.

Evans joins Summa Western Reserve Hospital with over 20 years of healthcare information technology management experience in the Cleveland area, most recently at UHHS/CSAHS-Cuyahoga, Inc. and CSAHS/UHHS-Canton, Inc. During his career, Evans has been instrumental in leading initiatives that leverage information technology in improving health care business needs and integration strategies for systems and infrastructure to support acquisitions of several community hospitals. He has directed and managed over 300 clinical and business systems.

As the Director of Technology Services at Summa Western Reserve Hospital, Evans will be responsible for leading telecommunications, network infrastructure and operational projects and initiatives within the IT&S Department.

Dan Evans is a graduate of Princeton University and Case Western Reserve University. He holds professional certifications in Ortronics Cabling Standards, Cisco CCNA, UNIX/AIX, MVS/JCL, and TCP/IP. He is a member of the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society, Princeton Alumni Association, Friends of Princeton Football and PTO of Munson Township (OH).
